Inspection Shadowing by You
Price – $100
Field inspections are an important part of the course, and three are included in the program. However, if you would like additional training, you may shadow your instructor during a live inspection and review the completed report with him afterward..
Inspection Shadowing by your Instructor
Price – $100 plus travel expenses
For licensed inspectors only: Your instructor will accompany you on one of your scheduled inspections, assist with preparing the report, and provide feedback on your interaction with the client and agent.
Field Training only
Price – $500
Indiana requires students of online courses to complete 12 hours of field training with a certified instructor. We provide this certification as part of our full 8-day course. Students join the in-field training on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday during our regularly scheduled Saturday-to-Saturday session.

The first day of class you will receive two study guides and additional reference material. The course is designed to teach you to become a Home Inspector,
not just to pass the state required Home Inspector Examination. Although you must pass the exam to get your Home Inspector License, at the end of the course you will know where you stand. The study guides are quizzes for each chapter and test for each section. You must also pass our final test, which is included in the course fee. You will know if you are ready to take the state exam immediately upon course completion, or if there is a section or two which you need to study further.
Reminder: Please be sure to read at least Volume I and Volume II before class. Students who skip this step are much more likely to need a second attempt at the state exam.
